On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, S.A.B. Aerospace hosted a press conference at the Technology Park Brno to mark an important milestone – the integration of the structural model of the ROSE-L satellite. The event took place within the Copernicus programme and was supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union.
The conference was officially opened by Tomáš Moravec, CEO of S.A.B. Aerospace, followed by keynote speeches from several distinguished guests, who emphasized the significance of the ROSE-L mission not only for Europe’s space program but also for the Czech space industry and scientific community. Among the main speakers were:
-
Martin Kupka, Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic
-
Václav Kobera, Head of the Czech Delegation to ESA
-
Maria Cristina Falvella, Space Attaché at the Italian Embassy
-
Ladislav Janíček, Rector of Brno University of Technology
-
Jan Zámečník, Deputy Governor of the South Moravian Region
-
Steve Osbourne, ESA Representative
-
Richard Pavlica, President of Czech Space Alliance
-
Lanfranco Zucconi, President of S.A.B. Aerospace Holding
After the official part and refreshments, guests were invited to S.A.B. Aerospace’s cleanroom facilities for a close-up look at the satellite’s structural model – the first tangible result of the Czech team’s involvement in this major European mission.
We would like to sincerely thank all the speakers, guests, partners, and media representatives for their participation and support. Your presence confirmed that the Czech space industry plays an essential role within the European context and that missions like ROSE-L hold both technological and societal value.
Thank you for being part of this special occasion.
